dasheroy_muffins My Fundamentals of Acting class had a performance today... it wasn't huge, it was just all of us (and some members of another Fundies class) doing our scenes... there were a LOT of audience members, though. Way more than I'd expected.
And everyone was fabulous. I mean, everyone in my class was better than I'd ever seen them. My partner and I really clicked, too. It was amazing.
I may actually try to do more acting now. I love it. Even the nervousness beforehand.
....Holy shit, is this two happy posts in a row? What's going on here?

EDIT: Been playing L4D2 for a few hours... got literally 10 seconds away from the chopper in Dark Carnival when I got grabbed by a Smoker with everyone else down. OTL Doesn't mean it wasn't excellent, though.
THINGS I'VE LEARNED NOT TO DO IN LEFT 4 DEAD (2):
-use the chainsaw on gas canisters. Although it looks pretty damn awesome.
-jump from high buildings. You won't make it. Even medium-sized buildings are iffy.
-forget that you're holding a melee weapon instead of pistols and then flail around wondering why the zombies ten feet away aren't dying when you keep clicking frantically on them. Also it's pretty easy to club team members in the back of the head.
-go into a killing frenzy and then mistake a teammate for a zombie.
-run around blind corners when there's a Tank growling somewhere nearby. It will be right behind that corner. You will die.
-throw molotovs in small enclosed spaces.
-throw pipe bombs at walls so that they land right in front of you.
-miss with the grenade launcher. Or shoot anything that isn't very very far away with them.
-melee Boomers. That really should have been an obvious one.
-get on the Screaming Oak without either a well-timed adrenaline shot, a medkit, a really fucking good gun, the fully-powered chainsaw, or any combination thereof. It will generally end in either black-and-white or tears. Also, don't get separated from teammates on it.
-remain stationary while shooting at a Spitter. If anything, it might be easiest to run towards her.
-startle the Witch. You will be decimated. However, the bots (at least Coach, in my experience) will often be able to startle her without sustaining any damage. Fuck you, Coach. Fuck you.
